Now in its 20th year (impressive), Herefordshire Art Week - or h.Art for short - runs from September 3rd to 11th and will once again let you inside the usually private domain of local artists' workshops, studios and creative spaces.

There’ll be guided walks around Ross-on-Wye on September 10th and 17th, taking you around the town’s Museum Without Walls which uses AR to bring historic sites and stories back to life. Search ‘Museum without Walls’ to download the free app. All you need to experience the museum (usually self-led) is a smartphone or tablet.
Also opening for Heritage Open Day 2022…Hereford Town Hall (an iconic landmark that’s still facing an uncertain future); 17th Century Cloddock Mill in the Golden Valley; Victorian Gothic Longworth Chapel; and Rotherwas Chapel near Hereford.
Another one for Heritage Open Days; an afternoon talk and museum tour for families at The Museum of Cider in Hereford.

The 2022 Kington Walking Festival features 28 walks over four days, each led by experienced guides with a wealth of local knowledge.
Highlights include Radnor Forest Ramble (tickets £8.50, including transport); Dunkertons Orchard Walk (£14.50, including lunch); Huntington’s Glacial and Medieval Past (£5); A Walk around The Rodd (£11, including entry to Sidney Nolan Trust's grounds and bulidings); Ancient Trees and Trackways (£8.50, including transport); Walking with Watkins (£7.50, including refreshments); and events at Kington School from Dark Sky Wales Planetarium.
Great name, great cause. The grassroots music festival, featuring local acts and cover bands, will take place at Gwatkin Cider's rural HQ in the Golden Valley (HR2 0AL), and this year raises money for county charities Herefordshire Mind and We Are Farming Minds.

This Courtyard Productions original play returns (Sept 9th - 16th): “a bittersweet, nostalgic comedy, filled with 70’s music you know and love.”
Gates for the 2022 Bromyard Folk Festival open at 2pm on Thursday September 2nd, and festival-goers will once again be enjoying ceildhs, crafts, and cider direct from Dave Jones Bar alongside the always impressive mix of trad and contemporary folk music.
This year's line up includes Scots trad group HEISK, multi-instrumentalist Dominie Hooper, Kora player, percussionist, singer and composer from The Gambia Suntou Susso (pictured), stalwart performer John Tams (who is best known as, but much more than, the folk singing solider from Sharpe); and locally grown trio Granny's Attic.
Seperately priced day, evening and weekend camping tickets are available.
This fundraising event to support Ukraine has been organised by the Hereford branch of Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB). It takes place at the Kindle Centre, Belmont Road, and features authentic Ukranian music and food.
