Hereford College of Arts is launching an exciting two-year course in Digital Futures + Interactive Media which covers everything from 360-degree video to VR headsets to video game design. And to assist with that the college is hiring a technical demonstrator to help with support and supervision for its IT workshops.
You'll need experience across a wide base of software (more below) and an interest in the creative arts is a major plus.
"We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Demonstrator with good IT and multimedia skills to join our small but busy team providing technical support and supervision in our IT workshops.
"You will be responsible for assisting academic staff during practical sessions, demonstrating the use of software applications, offering technical support to students and maintaining equipment.
"You will need to be familiar with Mac & PC based networked computer systems and be proficient in working with a range of software packages including Adobe CC & Industry Standard Games Design programmes (Unity, Blender, Unreal Engine). Good communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, along with the ability to work on your own initiative."
